We performed the intergenerational dance piece “Stone and Whispering Pages” with dancers ages 5 to 75 in Dance Across the Ages in early June, here is the performance:
We also performed a few excerpts of the piece as well as some improvisation at the Squawk Coffeehouse, we have been performing improvisations there since 2000. Hannah Lopez played violin and Karen Klein read some poetry and we all danced. Here is how we condensed the piece with 2 kids and 5 dancers down to a trio:
Hannah Played her violin, she has been taking lessons for a few years now.
Karen read the poem “Winter” and I improvised
and Karen read her poem “Haiku” and “Summer” and Hannah improvised, this is the first time she has improvised dance ever, and she did a great job!
